So we pulled into a Dairy Queen after driving past 3 before I was forced to pull over.
Anyway Ray and I opted for peanut butter, trail mix, bananna sandwichs in the DQ parking lot.....so damn tasty.
After we were done we made our way into DQ and Ray had a deep thirst for a tall cold soda.
Well.............he stepped into the bathroom right after ordering his Coke and hadn't even had a single sip yet.
WRoNG MOVE>>>>>>>.................
Brett had Brian hand him a Ketchup packet and proceded to pull the old 'hide the condiment packet' in the soda trick....
After coming back he sat down and started to "SIP" his soda. I watched as he triied 2 or 3 times untill the red flow came up the straw..........
Ray then throw off the lid and then tossed the whole soda at Jim....HAHAHA
Jim had no say in this prank but pay back is a bitch....

Brett bought a new soda for Ray which he refused....advantage Me, Brain and Brett....
thanks Ray....

this is what we watched for 2 hours.......

due to these asswipes

if you look closely at the huge grins/grimices on everyone's face you can see fun that they had in Andy's SUV while sitting in traffic for two hours.

Picnic at the farm/Dickbag sessions

On Sunday the Pollards called with an invite to a picnic at a fellow KU almuni's farmhouse. Evan and Gina moved from south Philly to a straight up farm house complete with barn, pond and lots of acreage in the middle of nowhere. Great weather, tons of food and a reason to leave the house after being rained out of all our plans on Saturday made it an easy choice to make the drive.

The Jazz June (Stormin Boston)

Remember I get at least 1 FULL year to post pix. blog. rant. throw muses. look pretty and grow my hair.......
well I stay true......

JUNE 16, 2007....The Jazz June had an amazing benefit show set up for Adam.
This time it would be a quick trip the Saturday before Father's day.
Now Justin, Dan and Gassler were required to home is less then 24 hours for their 1st of many Father day's to come (since then Justin and Dan have add a kid to each their fams).

Morning load and go in Hoboken
Before leaving Hoboken I ventured away from the van for a peanut butter smashed bagel sandwich and snacks for the ride...this would turn out to have been a wise move on my part...

Gassler was driving and in his old fashion mad man, crazy hair, kick the door down, knife in the wall, couch flip mood. No need for maps nor directions...we were off...
less then 5 min. from the Low's front door Gassler is driving down one way streets and making U-turns in a HUGE 15 passenger van in the middle of Jersey City!!!!
"If anyone sees something I don't just yell!!!" this coming from Gassler as we passed the sign for 95 North....our direction and fatefull course...

black clouds and lightning loaming ahead of us with puffs coming from the front seats = hold tight....

The Lows looking pretty....
cute that is..
yeah..grow your hair
Ralph's Famous Diner in Worchester, Massachutesesesss.
Now the title says Stormin Boston....so you'd think the show was in Boston right....wrong....look at a map.....,.,/Worchester is about an 1 1/2 hour outside Boston..Atari tour inside joke...so we were in Boston...but not really. Last time Gassler was in Boston he got left roaming the street's of Harvard Sqaure drunk, no money and lookin for himself.....not us...this homeless guy even triied to help him out because he felt bad for him.
now we were all told that Ralph's had a Famous and amazing veggie burger....I guess BOCA burger's and a small bag of lays' chips for $6 = famous in New England???

the calm after the storm

Christophorus (Ye bearded map maker)

"Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires courage.”
" I'm not going to give you a map. I can give you only a great passion to discover. Yes, a map is not needed; great passion, great desire to discover is needed. Then I leave you alone. Then you go on your own."

“By prevailing over all obstacles and distractions, one may unfailingly arrive at his chosen goal or destination.”
Riches don't make a man rich, they only make him busier.”

DWI (Dude Weekend) May 2007

Ron and Brian had talked about getting out and going camping last spring (07), so they set up an all dude weekend. We were going to head up to Lake Placid and hike into the deep woods of the Adironidacks like Jerimia Johnson..hunt, spit, curse, admire wildlife and grow facial hair.

as you can see from the picture below Ron did get his outdoor adventure...but it was on the other side of the US and the only thing he was doing was cursing because Gyro had sent his ass to Yosemitee National Park for a photo shoot...
deep asleep along route 87, 4:00 a.m.
nothing but blue sky and misery...sleeping for 3 hours in a car with trucks wizzing by is no way to energize for a long hike..
brian, brett and mazzy riding close behind
quick photo session along scenic drive into/out of Lake Placid.
every year/time we drive by this spot we've always want to stop a take in the views

in the fall these birch trees are bright orange and red and look like their on fire and crashing into the pond below

cold lake 1

Nate and Ron both couldn't make it but Mike showed up and we took him with us.
late spring..still snow in ADK

intense bridge action

Brett closed his eyes AND walked backwards over said intense bridge
Are destination was Mt. Dix. 1 of the 46 high Peaks in the ADK park. It was suppose to be a three day adventure. 1st day lite hike into the lean-to at the base of Dix. we thought it would be cool to ditch the FULL packs (40 pounds) and do a lite 1 mile hike up to _____ for a nice lunch and take in the sights of Dix...

the hike up was tuff. straight up and all snow and ice..and YES I did have my gortex Gaytors on to protect my ankles.
Mt. Dix

Dix and Pank
Brett was given the 'Monkey Pod' mega grip by Alison before the trip began. Oh how excite Brett was to getta bloggin. sad but true the MP has been laid to rest. one too many blogs.

pic of pix and a snack for the Monkey Pod
sick pic...
if you look closely you can find the lean-to that we would sleep at in the base of the valley below Mt. Dix..yes to the left of that one green tree and past the stream...you'll see

Pank in full outdoor dude mood

when your over 3,400 feet above sea level.. the air is thinner.. the clouds fuller... and the sky blueeer.

survey marker...yes i made it.

pi
base camp. the barto's and mazzy were closest to the stream. that pile of logs there...I used it to make a bear barricade around Mike's kiddy tent...if one is scarred of tight places. beware

Day 2: breakfast of champs...well i guess not... because we opted out of hiking Dix. too beat up from the 'lite' hike the other day. everyone's knees hurt and Mazzy was shot. Dix looked killer and from the notes people left in the notebook which is left in the lean-to.. I'd say some major injures occurred on the trecherous slides of Mt. Dix....
panks outdoor cafe..

hot blue..
Java Joey even made it to breakfast

in the wood you always share your meal with the one who can fight off a bear..
sights from said Mt. Dix Lean-to journel
if I had time I would have drawn Wookie on the shitter..
this is what we slept next too and washed up in, in the morning..damn cold I might say

frigid crystal clear water from atop mount Dix

shirts optional?

beaver fever..no way.

check mazzy out...so hyped to frolock in the stream

one of the many reasons we decided not to hike a high peaks..
man's best friend wiped out
